A totally unique one off magical set of wildspun art yarns, spun with natural seashell beach finds from my ramblings along the Welsh coast.
I spin these seascape yarns in very small collections of one of a kind yarns, each is intuitively spun incorporating different techniques, fibers, and curly locks. These yarns are very very labour intensive and take a lot of time to create the individual blends of colours and shades inspired by the treasures I see along the shoreline, and the amazing colours of the Welsh seaweeds and beach rocks, shells and creatures.
These yarns make great art weaving yarns, as they are landscape spun in colour changes, and the thicknesses and textures change throughout the yarn like a story line.
This set includes two skeins of one of a kind art yarns, one has some seashells spun into it, they are spun with natural and local wools, alpaca, plant dyed fibers, hand dyed fibers, recycled fibers, curly locks, dashes of sparkle, recycled silks and fabric waste.
They are tied with hand dyed recycled sari silk ribbons, and bound with plant dyed recycled fabric ribbon and organic spun nettle, which could be included into a fiber art piece. They come with a loose seashell, hand foraged spalted driftwood, and two handcrafted fired natural unglazed ceramic buttons.
