The Deep – A one off art piece, handwoven by Lea, on rigid heddle loom.

I have woven this shawl wrap with my own handspun art yarns, all from hand carded and/or hand dyed beautiful fibers, with lots of hand dyed yarns, also wool yarns, and recycled yarns.
It has two seashells from the Welsh coast woven into it.
The shawl also makes a beautiful throw over a chair or bed runner.
The price reflects the huge process of many weeks of hand carding, dyeing, handspinning, warping, and handweaving, then hand finishing. and all the beautiful hand dyed fibers spun through it to create this one of a kind piece.
This one measures approximately 224cms length (including the tasselwork) and 34cms width (not including ribbons and side tassels).
Washing instructions – Handwash separately very gently in cool water, with a natural eco friendly washing liquid (without the harsh chemicals and foaming agents) a wool wash liquid, or Bio D is a lovely brand. Gently rinse thoroughly in cool water, do not wring, re-shape laying flat to dry naturally.
