Folk Belt
I have handwoven and slowmade these belts with Love and each is one of a kind, wrap and tie belt.
I have two belts available, choose which one you would like from the menu.
The measurements are as follows –
* Embroidered folk belt – 75 cms woven part plus 72 cms ties on one side and 46 cms ties on the other side (total length of whole belt – 193 cms)
* Shell and tassels folk belt – 110 cms belt plus 34 cms tie on each side (total length of whole belt – 178 cms)
I have woven this belt with handspun yarns and art yarns, hand dyed yarn, and a little recycled yarn. The handspun yarns are spun from my hand blended dyed wools and silks. It has a cowrie shell, and long ties with tassels.
The belt has long ties at either end, which can be tied at the side and left long, or the belt could be wrapped around twice and tied.
The whole belt including the ties measures 185 cms, the woven part measures approximately 76 cms.
The price reflects the long process of hand carding, hand dyeing, handspinning, warping, weaving, braiding and finishing work.
Washing instructions – Handwash separately very gently in cool water, with a natural eco friendly washing liquid (without the harsh chemicals and foaming agents) Bio D is a lovely brand. Gently rinse thoroughly in same temperature water, and re-shape laying flat to dry naturally.
