Lea Williams – Lea Wild Creative

Nestled in the rolling hills of Montgomeryshire, Wales, Lea Williams is the creative force behind Lea Wild Creative. With over 25 years of experience in fibre arts, Lea’s expertise spans spinning, weaving, dyeing, and crochet, offering a rich tapestry of skills that inspire makers across the globe.

Lea’s work has been widely recognised in the fibre arts community, with features in renowned publications such as Ashford’s The Wheel Magazine and Tiny Studio Magazine. Her passion for sharing her craft extends to teaching, having served as a tutor at the celebrated Wonderwool Wales festival. Lea has also held numerous workshops, taught Art Yarn spinning at spinning and weavers’ guilds, and guided many students on a one-to-one basis, nurturing creativity and technical skills at all levels.

Passionate about the history of spinning and weaving, Lea works at the Newtown Textile Museum, where she shares her knowledge of traditional techniques and tools. She is also a member of the Corbet Household reenactment group, where she demonstrates spinning using a distaff and great wheels, bringing historical practices to life.

Inspired by historic and tribal cultures, Lea’s work reflects a deep appreciation for traditional craftsmanship and the stories woven into fibre arts.
